Winter capsule 2019, Part 2 (Haul & Capsule)

Okay, so I had included a quite extensive list of things I wanted to find and to be clear, I said that it wouldn't be the end of the world if I didn't find any. However, I found almost all of them, which is absolutely brilliant!
Here are the new items that have been included in the winter capsule (there were a couple of shirts I found that are absolute gems but didn't really fit the colour palette: you'll probably see them in a warmer season). I should also say that I let 24 hours go by before making any of these purchases, as usual. Let me know if you want my non-shopping tips in another blog post.

Okey, había incluído una lista bastante larga de cosas que estaba buscando comprar y para ser clarxs, dije que no sería el fin del mundo no encontrar nada. Sin embargo, encontré casi todo, lo cual está genial!
Acá hay algunos ítems que he incluído en la cápsula de invierno (encontré algunas joyitas pero no encajaban demasiado bien: probablemente las vean en alguna cápsula de verano/primavera). También debería aclarar que dejé pasar 24 horas entre ver el ítem y comprarlo, como siempre. Avisenme si quieren más tips para no comprar de más en otro blog post!

Yellow coat: Cadaver Exquisito
I found it. I found the colourful coat that I can throw into the backseat of a car without worrying about it. It works as a layering piece as well as a lovely, straight-cut standalone. Just yes, all around. I left the thrift shop with it under my denim jacket, exactly the look I was going for this winter, and I'll definitely be repeating that combo.
La encontré. Encontré la campera que puedo tirar en el asiento de atrás del auto sin preocuparme. Se puede usar como capa y como una campera re linda así a solas: em encanta. Me fui de la fera americana con esto debajo de mi campera de jean, lo cual es el look exacto que quería para invierno.
Yellow flannel: Takya
I found an alternative flannel! I mentioned in the planning post that I had to get rid of a flannel because I looked green every time I wore it. Replacing it was in the "ideal" realm: a couple of days later, I found this! I actually lucked out at Takya and found three things that had been on my wishlist for a long time (two of which are in this capsule).
Encontré la camisa alternative! Comenté en el post en donde planeaba esta cápsula que tuve que regalar mi camisa tipo franela porque me hacía quedar verde de piel. Horrible. Reemplazarla estaba en el plano "ideal," y un par de días después encontré esta! En realidad tuve mucha suerte en Takya y encontré tres cosas que estuve buscando hace rato, dos de las cuales están en esta cápsula.
Pewter turtleneck: Takya
I didn't photograph this or another turtleneck because, being knits, I didn't really want to hang them up. So here are a couple of pictures of me wearing them instead.
Anyway, I have had turtlenecks on my clothes wishlist for a while: I used to have two, in black and grey, which weren't great quality and I ended up donating because they were a itchy. I've been looking to replace them ever since, especially since I've started really enjoying how I look in turtlenecks. The pewter one from Takya was a surprise, since I was looking for black, but I really enjoyed the colour and have loved wearing it since: I think it looks really good with the rest of the capsule without presenting a harsh contrast.
No quise colgar estas poleras porque aunque sean finitos siguen siendo tejidos, con lo cual no quiero que se estropeen con la percha. Así que tendrán un par de fotos de mí en vez.
En fin, hace rato que vengo buscando tops de cuello alto: solía tener dos, que tuve que donar porque me hacían picar los brazos. Desde entonces que los quiero reemplazar, porque encima me está gustando mucho cómo me queda el estilo. Este, de color peltre, fue un hallazgo medio sorpresa: me lo probé porque era de cuello alto más que nada pero me terminó encantando cómo me queda. Creo que queda re bien con el resto de la cápsula sin ser un contraste muy fuerte.
Black turtleneck: Azoka Eklectica
I actually bought this for a choir performance last week but I loved the look of it so much that I thought I'd include it anyway. I wanted a long-sleeve black turtleneck, but this has two big things in its favour: the keyhole detail and the fact that I can wear it back-to-front. And without a bra. Win-win-win.
Esta polera negra la compré por un viaje que tuve con el coro la semana pasada pero lo disfruté tanto que pensé "ya fue, lo incluyo igual." Aunque no sea de manga larga, este top me encanta porque a) tiene el recorte con forma de cerradura y b) lo puedo usar al revés. y c) sin corpiño. Amé.
Dark printed shirt: Ñatas y Pichonas
Now, this is exactly what I was looking for. This hit the mark of being a dark shirt with a more discreet pattern but is also exactly what I look for in a shirt: it has details. I always look at the construction and elements of interest, so I love the fact that it has a different pattern lining the inside of the collar and sleeves.
Esto era exactamente lo que estaba buscando: no sólo es una camisa oscura con un estampado más bien discreto, tiene detalles copados. El hecho de que tenga un estampado distinto en el cuello y las mangas me encanta!

Grey mock neck tee: Ñatas y Pichonas
This was on sale, hanging outside the beautiful thrift shop that is Ñatas y Pichonas: it is in fact a "kids" tee that I bought initially as a thermal. However, I've already worn it twice as a top and felt great in it, so in the capsule it goes!
Esto estaba en la sección de descuentas afuera del lugar precioso que es Ñatas y Pichonas: de hecho es una remera de "niñxs" que compré en principio como térmica. Sin embargo, ya lo usé como remera y me gustó mucho así que directo a la cápsula!
The capsule // La cápsula
The apartment is still getting painted, but at least the bedroom is (mostly) done and part of my closet is back in its normal spot. So here it is, swipe for the knits.
Seguimos pintando el departamento pero el cuarto está (casi) hecho y parte de mi ropero volvió a su lugar. Así que acá está, en su mayoría, pueden ver los abrigos en la foto que sigue.
As for the colour palette, the only thing I can really say is that yellow is clearly the accent colour and there are more earthy tones than usual, with cream/brown and greens being more dominant than plain black and white. I created a very approximate colour palette using Color Palette FX (my old friend) using a photo of the tops. The only colour missing is red.
I'll try to create a lookbook further down the line so you get an idea of the different silhouttes and styles that I can create from this capsule: I'm worried that it's getting a little long!
En cuanto a la paleta de colores, sólo puedo decirles que el acento sería amarillo y que hay más tonos otoñales (crema, marrón, verde) que dominan en vez de blanco y negro. Hice una paleta muy aproximada usando Color Palette FX (viejo lobo) usando una foto de las remeras/camisas. La única foto que faltaría sería rojo.
Después intentaré hacer un lookbook digamos para que puedan ver los distintos estilos y siluetas que puedo armar con esta cápsula: me preocupa que esto se esté haciendo muy largo!

Exactly 30 items: it might be more, it might be less by the end of winter and as usual, that's 100% fine. I'm not sure if I should put in my good old trench coat or give it a break, we'll see. The grey skirt isn't set in stone, either. In any case, according to the Cladwell app, these 30 items make for 794 outfits, which is more than enough!
P.S. Just after publishing this, I thought I'd check how much of this capsule is second-hand: turns out that 25 out of 30 items were obtained ethically! Just over 83 percent. The rest are several years old by now and are mostly shoes. Basically, it can be done and you can start anytime: no shame or shade here.
Exactamente 30 ítems: podría ser más, podría ser menos para el final de la temporada y como siempre, está 100% bien eso. No sé si incluir mi campera impermeable y tampoco sé con seguridad que voy a mantener la pollera gris. Veremos. En todo caso, según Cladwell, estos 30 ítems crean 794 combinaciones, lo cual es más que suficiente!
P.D Justo después de publicar esto, pensé que sería divertido ver cuántos ítems son de segunda mano: resulta que son 25 de 30! O sea un poco más de 80%. Lo demás ya tiene unos años y son más que nada zapatos. Basicamente, se puede, y podés empezar cuando sea: no hay nada de vergüenza ni mala onda acá.
