I'm not a fashion blogger, am I?

What a title. But yeah. I'm not a fashion blogger: there are many inspirational bloggers and YouTubers that will do a much better job than I could. I don't model or get endorsements from big brands or have my own clothes line or even study fashion. Until now, style and fashion have made no appearances on Coriolismo. So what is this section?

Basically, a few months ago I started the hashtag #NotAFashionBlogger as a joke, an Instagram post on some shoes I bought: "Buys one pair of red velvet heels, thinks she's a fashion blogger. #NotAFashionBlogger." Face palm. I've uploaded a bunch of pictures of silly outfits onto my Instagram — as well as outfits I like — and it's kind of backfired. The #NotAFashionBlogger posts consistently get the most likes and most engagement on my Instastories. What's up with that?

Qué título. Pero no, no soy una influencer ni una instagrammer de moda y este blog de estilo no tiene nada...hasta ahora. Hay muchas otras personas que crean contenido mucho mejor que lo que probablemente vaya a poder hacer yo. No soy modelo ni tengo marcas como sponsors ni tengo mi propia línea de ropa...ni siquiera estudio moda o indmentaria. Así que ¿qué es esto?

Basicamente, hace unos meses empecé el hastag #NotAFashionBlogger como un chiste, subí una foto a Instagram de unos zapatos que compré: "Se compró un par de zapatos y se cree una fashionista. #NotAFashionBlogger." Todo mal. He subido varias fotos de atuendos graciosos a mi Instagram, junto a otros que me gustan, y medio que salió al revés el tema. El contenido #NotAFashionBlogger es el más popular, consistentemente, y lo que subo a mis Instastories con ese hashtag siempre consigue la mayor cantidad de respuestas. ¿Qué onda?

So here it is. I am not a fashion blogger but you guys apparently like something about my style, which both flatters and terrifies me. So I have somehow become that which I've been denying: a blogger that writes about fashion. Damn it. All jokes aside, style has become a new love of mine, specifically slow and sustainable fashion. I'll do my best here, sharing what I'm learning, my choices and showing you other fashion and style bloggers and experts that have been inspiring me.

Please let me know what you want to see here — I need all the help I can get! I hope you enjoy whatever comes of this.

Así que acá estamos, porque aparentemente les gusta algo de mi estilo, lo cual me halaga y me da terror al mismo tiempo. Entonces de cierta manera me convertí en lo que estuve negando: una bloguera que escribe sobre moda. Qué dolor de cabeza. Hablando en serio, en el último año me estuve metiendo más en el tema de estilo y moda, particularmente la moda sustentable. Voy a hacer lo mejor que pueda acá compartiendo lo que estoy aprendiendo, lo que ando eligiendo y mostrándoles las cuentas y personas que me andan inspirando.

Por favor diganme qué quieren ver acá: necesito toda la ayuda posible! Espero que les guste lo que sea que salga de esto.
